Health Ministry emergency services chief Ahmed al-Ansary said four people were injured in clashes between supporters and opponents of deposed President Mohamed Morsy during his first trial session on Monday.
No deaths were reported, he added. Clashes took place in Cairo, Alexandria and Sharqiya.
The injured were transferred to hospitals at al-Helal in Cairo, Zagazig University in Sharqiya and al-Miry in Alexandria. 13 other injured were medicated inside ambulances and discharged afterwards.
Injuries ranged from asphyxia due to teargas and other simple injuries.
