Four people were killed and 27 others wounded in a car accident in the early hours of Thursday morning on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert road, disrupting traffic for an hour 53 kilometers outside of Cairo.
The dead and the wounded were taken to the 6 October, Sheikh Zayed and Haram hospitals.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a truck coming from Alexandria overturned due to heavy fog and collided with five other cars.
The truck driver was arrested pending investigation and a drug test.
