Former passport control officer referred to criminal court for cocaine trafficking

The South Giza Prosecution referred a former passport control officer to criminal court Wednesday on charges of cocaine trafficking after a two-month long investigation.

The Narcotics Control Squad stormed the officer's flat and seized 150 cocaine packets, hashish, LE30,000, US$2,000, 500 euros and an unlicensed pistol.

The officer denied the charge, while the squad took blood samples from him to determine whether he takes the drug.
