Former Obama-era adviser arrested in New York for hate crime charges against Arab vendor

A former adviser to the National Security Council during the administration of former US President Barack Obama, Stuart Seldowitz, pleaded not guilty to hate crime charges on Thursday, according to court records, CNN reported on Friday.

The New York Police Department announced that they had arrested Seldowitz, after a series of videos widely circulated on social media showed him using hate-filled Islamophobic language against an Arab vendor working inside a food truck in New York City, according to the New York Post.

“If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, it wasn’t enough,” Seldowitz said in one of the viral clips posted to X Tuesday.

Seldowitz, 64, was charged with two counts of hate crimes, fourth-degree stalking and second-degree aggravated harassment, according to court records.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges, and was released without bail, according to New York criminal court records.
