A suicide bomber was behind the attempted assassination of Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim two weeks ago, Egypt’s Forensic Medicine Authority said.
Authority spokesperson Hesham Abdel Hamid said that having examined remains of victims at the explosion site, it was discovered that ten pieces, out of eleven, belonged to an unknown person. The remaining piece belongs to a passerby who lost his ankle after the blast, the official said.
Abdel Hamid noted that a report to that end will be submitted to the public prosecution Thursday morning.
