Domestic Trade and Food Supply Minister Khaled Hanafy said the ministry is considering a project that would give citizens free goods in return for garbage.
The ministry, in coordination with Environment Ministry and authorities in question, mulls collecting garbage bags and adding a financial return on the smart ration cards, so families would get more food commodities, the minister explained to Al-Masry Al-Youm.
More details on taking advantage of the garbage will be declared within two months, Hanafy added.
