Ferries between Port Said and Port Fouad had to dock due to heavy fog that blurred visibility for 20 meters, compelling some 5000 passengers to wait until the weather changes.
A Suez Canal Authority official said the fog also prevented a convoy of nine ships from sailing in the canal from Port Said to Suez.
