CAIRO, Dec 28 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita ways to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Morocco during a phone call on Sunday, building on the positive momentum witnessed at various levels.
The phone call came within the framework of regular consultation and coordination between the two countries.
Abdelatty asserted Egypt’s keenness to continue developing bilateral cooperation across various fields.
They also discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Joint Committee for Coordination and Follow-up, to be chaired by the prime ministers of both countries in the coming period, with the aim of advancing joint cooperation and serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
The two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, foremost among them developments in the Middle East and the African continent, including issues related to Palestine, Sudan and Libya.
They stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on various files in support of regional stability and the strengthening of joint Arab and African action. (MENA)
