FM returns back to Cairo after paying visits to Asian countries

Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy returned on Saturday to Cairo coming from Tokyo after an eight-day Asian tour, during which he visited China, South Korea and Japan.
 
In Beijing, Fahmy held talks with Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao and his counterpart Wang Yi. They tackled development of bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues. The Chinese officials expressed their country’s interest in boosting relations with Egypt as well as confidence that Egyptians will surpass the ongoing phase.
 
Fahmy also met with his South Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se in Seoul. They stressed necessity of developing bilateral relations on trade and economic levels. Fahmy attended ceremony of signing contract to establish petrochemicals complex in Ain al-Sokhna area at costs of US$8.4 billion. South Korea will participate by 30 percent.
 
Fahmy also met in Tokyo with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and delivered a message from Interim President Adly Mansour over Egypt’s desire to develop bilateral relations in all fields. He also held talks with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida and tackled regional and international issues.
