Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, currently on a visit to Bahrain, said the government and all its institutions seek to provide an investment-friendly environment by developing the legislative framework regulating investment and formulating a tax policy supporting economic activity.
At a meeting Monday in Manama with Bahraini Minister of Industry and Trade Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, he expounded the ambitious steps the Egyptian government has taken to implement economic reform.
He called on the Bahraini side to benefit from the Golden License issued by Egypt for investors.
The Egyptian government is keen on removing any obstacles that might face Bahraini investments, he added.
Abdelatty spoke of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Bahrain in 2022 which culminated in the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding in economic domains, such as the establishment of a joint committee for trade, economic and technological cooperation.
Egypt is interested in economic and industrial integration with Bahrain, especially in mining and the production of aluminum, iron and steel, he added.
