FM heads for Turkey

CAIRO, Nov 12 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptians Abroad Badr Abdelatty departed on Wednesday for Turkey on an official visit aimed at exploring ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The foreign minister will also hold consultations on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During the visit, Abdelatty is scheduled to meet with several senior Turkish government officials.

The foreign minister and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan will co-chair the meeting of the Joint Planning Group between the two foreign ministries.

The meeting seeks to follow up implementation of agreements reached by leaderships of both friendly nations and to develop mechanisms for bilateral cooperation across the various fields, including political, economic, investment and cultural domains, reflecting the growing momentum and positive trajectory in Egyptian-Turkish relations at this stage.
