Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday 16/02/2024 expressed Egypt’s pride in its extended fraternal relations with Kuwait.
The two countries have achieved a distinguished level of cooperation as their leaders are committed to strengthening overall relations between their peoples, Shoukry said during his meeting with Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Alyahya.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of their participation in the 60th edition of the Munich Security Conference, held on February 16 -18.
Shoukry expressed his desire to enhance cooperation mechanisms and hold the upcoming Egyptian-Kuwaiti joint committee in Cairo soon, as well as the consular and professional committees established between the two countries.
For his part, Alyahya expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for its well-established relations with Egypt in various fields and its keenness to develop them for the good of the two brotherly peoples.
He stressed his country’s aspiration to continue coordination to advance aspects of cooperation to broader horizons, as well as to coordinate positions towards various Arab, regional and international issues of common interest.
