Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized that Egypt is a cornerstone of stability in the turbulent Middle East region and a trusted partner of the European Union.
He noted that the recent Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit reflects Egypt’s commitment to being a pillar of regional stability.
Speaking at high-level talks between Egypt and the European Union in Brussels, Abdelatty said the meeting highlights the pivotal role of economic cooperation and the private sector in securing a better future for the peoples of the region.
He added that the Egyptian-European partnership is based on mutual respect, shared economic interests, and cooperation, especially in the areas of security, energy, climate and investment.
“Despite the close ties with the European Union, we must exert further efforts to deepen this cooperation and unlock the economic potential between the two sides, to achieve economic growth and sustainable development across the Mediterranean region,” he stated.
He also noted that Egypt continues to support a favorable business environment and offers a number of investment incentives, particularly in sectors such as clean energy, automotive production and component manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence and digital applications and smart transportation.
He pointed out that the private sector has accounted for 60 percent of total investments in the Egyptian market since the beginning of this year.
The foreign minister called on European companies to explore the vast investment opportunities available in Egypt.
