
CAIRO, Sept 22 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty Monday reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for Yemen’s unity, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as its solidarity with the legitimate government under the Presidential Leadership Council. He emphasized that Yemen’s stability is crucial for regional and Red Sea security.
During a meeting with Yemeni Foreign Minister Shayea Mohsen Al-Zindani on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s commitment to a comprehensive political solution as the only way to resolve the Yemeni crisis, based on agreed references, according to a statement released by the foreign ministry.
He asserted that there is no military solution to the Yemeni conflict and called for Yemeni factions to unite and formulate a national vision for a political process that ends the Yemeni people’s suffering and fulfills their aspirations for security, stability, and development.
He also highlighted Egypt’s support for Yemen through medical and humanitarian aid and by hosting Yemeni citizens and providing them with essential services. (MENA)
