
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Tuesday 9, September 2025 condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression against the Qatari capital Doha, saying it is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar and a blatant breach of the provisions of international law.
Abdelatty made the remarks during a phone call with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The top diplomat affirmed Cairo’s full solidarity and unwavering support for Qatar’s leadership, government, and people in confronting this shameful aggression, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Abdelatty offered his sincere condolences to Qatar and the families of the victims of this heinous attack. He also wished a speedy recovery to all the injured.
The Egyptian foreign minister stressed that Qatar’s security and stability are a pillar of Arab national security, and that undermining them cannot be overlooked given the direct threat it poses to regional security as a whole.
Meanwhile, the Qatari prime minister and minister of foreign affairs expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance toward Qatar, which he said reflects the strength of fraternal relations and close ties between the two sisterly nations.
