Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty underlined the importance of full respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon.
In exclusive statements to Sky News Channel from New York, Abdelatty said that international standards should be implemented in all conflicts.
No country is above the law, he further said.
The political solution lies in respecting the international law, he went on to say.
Talking about the situation in Palestine, Abdelatty said that Egypt continues its efforts in pursuing a ceasefire in Gaza and preventing the Palestinians the repercussions of war and guaranteeing the entry of humanitarian aid into the enclave, he added.
Egypt is holding constant contacts with the US and Qatar in this respect, he further said.
