Wednesday witnessed five separate murders in different Egyptian cities.
The first was committed by an 18-year-old Giza resident who murdered the man who had earlier killed his father in a long-running family vendetta. The young man fired ten bullets into the victim before turning himself in to authorities.
In Cairo, a man stabbed his friend to death in a fight in the Basateen district. And in Cairo’s low-income Khosous district, thieves killed an elderly woman whose apartment they were robbing before fleeing the scene.
In Aswan, a young man killed his uncle when the latter refused him permission to marry his daughter. In Damietta, meanwhile, a farmer killed his neighbor in an argument over land.
