Fishing violations continue

It is not the first time that fishermen are after rare species that are protected by the law, as the Red Sea Environment Preservation Association spotted two people catching a bottlenose dolphin.

The International Organization for the Protection and Conservation of Nature has prohibited the fishing, eating and selling of this type of dolphin.

Ahmed Gulab, director of the northern slands reserves, said the Red Sea fishermen do not catch dolphins because they love them, contending that those two are probably strangers.

Meanwhile, a specialized magazine published a picture of the dolphin and said it was caught in Libya and not in Egypt.
