A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon for the third time in one month at the floating dock run by the Suez Arsenal Company in Port Tawfik, Suez Canal.
A security source told Al-Masry Al-Youm that no injuries were reported, adding that preliminary inspection found that the fire started from a spark during maintenance work on the dock.
Four fire trucks and firefighters rushed to put out the fire, the source said.
The Suez Arsenal's floating dock is the largest one in the Suez Canal's navigational stream.
Egypt says that the dock has a good international reputation and is used for conducting maintenance work on ships that pass through the canal.
