More than 65,000 tax disputes have been settled away from the court, with a total value that surpass EGP 51.5 billion over seven years, said Finance Minister Mohamed Maait.
The move came in implementation of directives issued by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to swiftly settle tax disputes out of court, added the minister in statements Saturday.
A draft law has been prepared to settle all the accumulated tax files in a way that contributes to creating a suitable environment for business and encouraging investors to expand their activities in the Egyptian market, he further said.
