Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait will take part on Wednesday 24/1/2024 in the 17th Asian Financial Forum (AFF) held in Hong Kong under the title “Multilateral Cooperation for a Shared Tomorrow,” in the presence of public and private sector dignitaries from the world countries to exchange views about the global economy from an Asian perspective.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Finance said, the minister of finance will bring forward before the forum Egypt’s vision regarding the negative impact of economic crises, global and regional conflicts on emerging economies, along with proposals for dealing with them.
The gathering will discuss key economic issues, including prospects of the global economy and the state-of-the-art techniques in the financial technology domain, green economy, investment challenges and opportunities, with a view to enabling participants exchange views on the latest economic and financial developments.
The minister will shed light on the importance of the role of multilateral international institutions in facing the financing challenges triggered by the global economic crises, together with working out innovative and easy financing solutions.
Maait will review Egypt’s strategy in diversifying sources of financing and international markets.
On the sidelines of his participation in this forum, the minister will hold a number of bilateral meetings with counterparts in various countries and representatives of international institutions, to tackle issues of common interest, as well as ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
All efforts are meant to attract more investments to Egypt to realize optimal exploitation of available investment opportunities.
