Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said that Egypt continues to advance in all indicators of transparency and public disclosure and community participation, with regard to the general budget issued by the “International Budget Partnership” for 2023.
This is the outcome of 10 years of efforts in the field of developing mechanisms for transparency and public disclosure of the general budget, the minister said in a statement on Wednesday.
Egypt jumped six places in “Financial Transparency”, 16 places in “Public Participation”, and 10 places in “Budget Accountability and Oversight”, a matter that contributes to stimulating and attracting more investments, he further noted.
