The Federation of Arab Journalists (FAJ) has expressed its support for the detained and abducted Yemeni journalists, calling on the authorities in question to release them.
In a statement released on Sunday, FAJ said that the Yemeni journalists syndicate had staged a protest in solidarity with their kidnapped and detained colleagues, including Galal al-Sharaaby, Wahid al-Soufy and Ali Senhan.
The statement quoted Marwan Demag, the syndicate’s secretary general, who criticized the deterioration of the situation of journalists in Yemen during the protests, speaking about the attacks on media outlets and arbitrary detention of journalists.
