Giza Supply detectives seized a factory in the Abul Nomros neighborhood that authorities say was recycling medical waste to produce containers and spoons to be used by restaurants selling the Egyptian dish koshary.
Investigators say the owner of the factory collected the waste from major hospitals in Cairo and Giza.
Security services seized four tons of medical waste and 3,000 spoons.
