Mark Zuckerberg has announced that his New Year challenge for 2016 will be to take up running and is urging the Facebook community to join him.
After his Year of Books project in 2015 in which the busy Facebook founder pledged to read a book every two weeks, new dad Zuckerberg has announced plans to run 365 miles (587 km) this year in an effort to get fit and healthy.
That works out to be one mile (1.6 km) a day.
"I'm going to run 365 miles and I'd love for as many people in this community to join me as possible," he posted early Tuesday.
"This is a lot of running, but it's not a crazy amount. It's a mile a day, and at a moderate pace it's less than 10 minutes of running per day."
Zuckerberg has created a public Facebook group where he'll post about his progress and participants can likewise discuss their own.
