One person was killed and dozens wounded on Wednesday, in an explosion inside a power plant in Talkha, Daqahliya.
A worker at the plant told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the facility had been out of service since the beginning of January for maintenance.
While one of the workers was cleaning up the unit's compressor, a technical error reportedly occurred and caused the explosion.
