Major General Khaled Fawzy has been named the new chief of intelligence, succeeding Major General Mohamed Farid al-Tohamy, who has been suffering bad health conditions for two months, according to Strategic Expert Major General Sameh Seif al-Yazal.
Informed sources earlier told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Fawzy, who is the head of national security authority will carry out duties of Tohamy until he returns back from his treatment.
