Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damati will inaugurate Thursday a temporary exhibition at the Egyptian Museum for Egyptian antiquities that have been recovered from abroad.
The exhibition will be held in hall number 44 on the annual Day of Archeologists and will feature 226 artifacts. Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damati announced Monday that all archaeological sites and museums, including the Egyptian Museum, will be open for free on the Day of Archeologists on Thursday, January 14.
Damati said in a press statement Tuesday that the exhibition will continue until February 29 and will display a number of artifacts that have been recovered from abroad and have not been displayed to the public before.
General supervisor at the Egyptian Museum Khaled al-Enany said the exhibition would include 226 artifacts recovered by Egypt from abroad in the years 2014 and 2015.
