Disqualified presidential hopeful Hazem Salah Abu Ismail's supporters continued their sit-in outside the Presidential Elections Commission headquarters for the second consecutive day, in protest of his exclusion from the presidential race.
The protesters set up a stage and claimed that Abu Ismail's mother was not an American national, asserting that the whole issue was fabricated to exclude him due to his statements calling for punishing corrupt officials and to prevent the application of Sharia.
They raised banners that read: "Hazem is a whole nation, not an individual," "Traitors are afraid of you," "No god but God, we will not rule except according to God's law," and "What has God done to you so that you hate His law?"
A number of protesters said that the administrative court issued a ruling saying Abu Ismail's mother was not an American national. They accused the commission of excluding Abu Ismail for political reasons, saying, "If Abu Ismail does not run for president, there will not be elections."
Abu Ismail supporters also distributed leaflets in Tahrir Square titled: "So that the lying media shuts up."
The leaflet said: "How could Abu Ismail be excluded while he had evidence that stated his mother did not obtain American nationality, according to the ruling of the administrative court, the official records of the Interior Ministry, travel documents and the Immigration and Nationality Administration?"
The same leaflet included a paragraph titled "The Third Party," which said that the US and Israel want Egyptians to remain in the third world and remain slaves so that they can exploit their resources and leave crumbs for them.
The leaflet described Mubarak's resignation as "funny" saying that the whole issue was according to an agreement between the White House, the military council and Omar Suleiman's intelligence services, using the officers of the National Security Agency who are the third party that always plots conspiracies.
