The retrial of the defendants accused of an attempted break-in into the Ettehadiya Presidential Palace was adjourned on Wednesday by the Cairo Criminal Court until December 17.
The trial was postponed in order to inform the witnesses and arrest one of the defendants still on the run.
During the Wednesday session, the defendants were interrogated about the charges against them. The defendants denied all charges.
The defense demanded the release of the first defendant in the case, Mahmoud Ahmed Atteya.
Atteya faces charges of an attempted murder of a police officer by firing bird shot at him. The other defendant, Amr Alaa, is accused of using violence and force with the police to intimidate citizens and for possessing a firearm.
