Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation announced that steps construction of the Renaissance, Gibe III dams and Wind Farm Power Generation projects is being expedited to achieve goals of the Growth and Transformation Plan in energy sector.
The Ethiopian Walta information center, quoted Miskir Negash, spokesman of the corporation, as saying that efforts are being intensified to achieve goals of the plan in the energy generation sector so supplies of the national energy are increased.
Negash also added that the work on these projects is being expedited to cover the needs of energy. Thirty-two percent of the dam has been built. The project offered 7,000 job opportunities, which will increase as the work on the dam becomes more.
