EMPC cuts fees of filming in open areas

Osama Heikal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Media Production City, issued a decision to cutting the fees of filming in open areas in the city, so as to be competitive with the fees of shooting in open areas out of the city.
 
The decision aims to raise the revenues of the city, where many dramas would be filmed in preparation for Ramadan.
 
The board has set LE6 million to develop the open areas especially Emad Eddin neighborhood which is undergoing wide-scale developments.
 
The Egyptian Media Production City has made during the fiscal year which ended on 31 December 2014 LE27.1 million profit, with an increase of 40.2 percent compared to the previous  fiscal year 2013, where the city achieved a profit of LE19.31 million.
