United Arab Emirates Minister of State Sultan al-Jaber has arrived in Cairo on Saturday for a two-day visit as part of a delegation to meet with several officials to follow up on Emirati aid to Egypt.
Informed Egyptian officials said Jaber, who arrived from Morocco, will also discuss increasing Emirati investments in Egypt.
Since political instability ensued following the 30 June uprising, Egypt has leaned on Arab aid and investments to prop up its faltering economy. Until the market is restored, the country has been pumping the aid into the local economy as stimulus in the hopes that foreign investors will begin to slowly trickle back in.
