Emigration Minister Soha Gendi invited Archbishop Angaelos of London Coptic Orthodox Church to attend the third conference of Egyptian expats which is due to be held in July as well as the conference of “Egypt Can with trade and industry in Africa” which is scheduled to be held in the last quarter of the year.
During their meeting, she lauded the position of Archbishop Angaelos who became an envoy of Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese.
She noted that the Egyptian community in the UK includes many scientists, researchers, intellectuals, doctors and engineers as well as distinguished students, highlighting their contributions in the service of the motherland and the continued cooperation to train cadres in Egypt in various sectors, especially health, education and technology.
For his part, Archbishop Angaelos said “we are looking forward to broader cooperation between the Emigration Ministry, the Egyptian church in the UK, and the Egyptian community.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Ambassador in London invited the minister to visit the Egyptian community and stand on its members’ aspirations and the minister promised to fulfill this invitation soon.
