The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has announced the weather forecast from Thursday, April 1 to Tuesday, April 6, predicting active winds that may stir dust and an increased chance of rain.
The authority recommended taking all necessary measures and precautions to limit the effects of the expected bad weather.
The forecast is as follows:
Thursday, April 1, 2021:
Intermittent rain is predicted in areas of the along the north coast, while lighter showers may show up in parts of the Nile Delta region.
Light rain is predicted in the evening in areas of Greater Cairo.
Wind will be active in all aforementioned areas and northern Upper Egypt, stirring sand and dust.
Friday, April 2, 2021:
Light, intermittent showers will fall along the north coast and in the Delta region.
Wind will be active along the north coast and in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, stirring sand and dust.
Saturday, April 3, 2021:
A morning fog is expected along agricultural roads and highways near bodies of water leading to and from Greater Cairo and the Delta.
Wind is expected to be active in areas of South Sinai and the south of the country.
The EMA said starting Sunday, April 4, temperatures will gradually rise by between four and eight degrees Celsius.
Sunday April 4, 2021:
Wind is expected to be active over areas of South Sinai.
Monday, April 5, 2021:
Dust is expected during the day in Upper Egypt.
Wind will be active over areas of South Sinai.
Tuesday, April 6, 2021:
Dust is expected during the day in areas of Greater Cairo, the Delta, and Upper Egypt.
