EMA advises citizens to wear warmer clothes as Egypt sees cold temperatures by night

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) anticipates slightly hot weather on Wednesday across most parts of the country, with cooler conditions late at night and early morning.

The EMA urged the public to wear warmer clothing, especially children, in order to avoid catching a cold.

The weather will be slightly hot during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt, and hot in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will be moderate in the early evening, but colder in the late evening and early morning.

There is a slight chance of light rain in parts of the northwestern coast Halayeb, intermittently. Winds will also be intermittently active in parts of South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Expected temperatures on Wednesday:

  • Matrouh: 26C
  • Alexandria: 27C
  • Cairo: 28C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh: 31C
  • Hurghada: 30C
  • Aswan: 38C
  • Luxor: 37C
