Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker has said that the National Council for Green Hydrogen will help promote investments in the energy sector.
In exclusive statements to MENA on Friday, the minister said that the Council plays a vital role in unifying the country’s efforts towards boosting investments in the field of green hydrogen and its derivatives in particular, and in the energy sector in general.
This will be in line with the needs of sustainable development and the country’s aspirations towards achieving socio-economic development and ensuring competitiveness at the regional and international levels.
Green hydrogen is as a key factor in the energy transformation plan as it enhances environmental sustainability and economic development, the minister said.
Egypt is witnessing unremitting efforts to shore up investments in this vital sector, the minister further noted.
The role of the National Council for Green Hydrogen comes as a major step towards achieving these strategic goals, he added.
