The Electricity Regulatory Authority said it would start easing power loads early on Thursday due to an increased consumption and appealed to citizens to conserve as much energy as possible.
This includes conserving use on washing machines, vacuum cleaners, irons, water boilers, electric furnaces, electric water heaters and especially air conditioners in order to avoid continuing power cuts in the coming hours.
The Ministry of Electricity said the maximum expected load on Thursday is 25,000 megawatts.
