Presidential hopeful Mohamed ElBaradei began a tour in Switzerland Tuesday to discuss investment opportunities and the political situation in Egypt, Swiss sources said.
The Egyptian community in Switzerland plans to meet with ElBaradei during his visit, the sources said.
In June, the former International Atomic Energy Agency director visited Russia, where he met with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to the independent daily Al-Dostour, a news website close to ElBaradei, the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow and Russia's Foreign Ministry had not given any details about the meeting.
But the website quoted Russian observers as saying that Lavrov's talks with ElBaradei reflect Moscow's eagerness to explore Egypt's political scene after the 25 January revolution.
ElBaradei leads a recent Facebook poll on users' preferred presidential candidates. The poll was posted on the official page of Egypt's ruling military council.
