ElBaradei to meet with agricultural and industrial experts

Former chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and potential presidential candidate Mohamed ElBaradei will meet with a number of experts from agriculture and industry on Tuesday to take advantage of their experience in establishing his electoral platform.

Abdel Rahman Samir, a worker in the ElBaradei presidential campaign office, said that ElBaradei is aiming for a comprehensive renaissance in Egypt, and that such a vision will be reflected in his platform. The platform will be concluded by the end of May, added Samir.

ElBaradei plans to hold similar meetings with labor leaders for the same purpose, and to celebrate Labor Day, although the exact timing hasn’t yet been set.

ElBaradei’s presidential campaign started with a series of promotional tours in Maadi, Nasr City and Heliopolis, especially in mosques, churches and gathering places, to introduce ElBaradei as a presidential candidate. Around 20,000 flyers were distributed over three days.

Hesham al-Miniawi, the campaign coordinator in Nasr city, said the campaign team will visit slum areas next week, starting with Ezbet el-Haggana.
