ElBaradei back in Egypt

Mohamed ElBaradei, who shook up Egyptian politics after saying he might run for the presidency in 2011 if elections are free and fair, returned to Egypt yesterday.

ElBaradei’s arrival has been confirmed to Al-Masry Al-Youm by campaign member, Nasser Abdel Hamid.

The former head of the United Nation’s International Atomic Energy Agency was met by family members at the airport. When ElBaradei returned to Egypt on 19 February he was greeted by over a thousand supporters.

Details of his agenda have not been disclosed to the media, but members of the ElBaradei 2011 Campaign–a loose coalition from different political parties, as well as independents–told Al Masry Al Youm that they are planning to meet with ElBaradei soon to discuss "three scenarios" that will decide the plan of action for the coming months

ElBaradei left Egypt on 28 February and traveled to Germany, South Korea and New York.
