The El Gouna Film Festival has announced the 21 projects selected for the seventh edition of the CineGouna Platform, a platform dedicated to supporting Arab film projects.
The platform will run from October 25-31, alongside the festival’s main events.
Following a rigorous selection process, CineGouna Platform chose these projects from over 230 submissions.
These films represent 13 Arab countries and include a diverse range of genres, from feature narratives to feature documentaries, and films in post-production.
Throughout the platform, filmmakers will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, seek funding, and receive valuable feedback.
The selected projects will also compete for awards.
The co-founder and executive director of the El Gouna Film Festival, Amr Mansi, emphasized the platform’s importance in supporting Arab filmmakers and developing the film industry.
And the director of the CineGouna Platform, Ahmed Shoky, highlighted the rigorous selection process and the platform’s success in launching promising Arab films.
