Eight people were killed, including a Moroccan, and 14 others were injured on Sunday in an accident on the Ras Sidr – Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel road in Sinai.
Forensic experts are still trying to identify the remains of four of the victims.
The accident occurred when three cars collided 20 kilometers from the tunnel and 55 kilometers from Ras Sidr, paralyzing traffic on the international road for an hour.
Ten ambulances immediately rushed to the scene.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Suez morgue, while 11 of the injured were taken to the Suez General Hospital, two to the Suez Salam Hospital, and one to the Medical Insurance Hospital in Port Tewfik.
Prosecutors have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
