Egypt’s PM expands centers to vaccinate travelers against coronavirus

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly instructed providing more COVID-19 vaccination centers in Egypt for those traveling, Aysam Salah, Advisor to the Minister of Health for Information Technology, said.

As of Friday morning, registration opened for travelers on the Health Ministry’s official website, he added.

During a phone call to the “Akher Al-Nahar” program, Salah told host Tamer Amin that the public can add their travel information to the registration form, including the reason for travel, and that the ministry will prioritize cases based on travel dates and reasons.

Salah pointed out that travelers must submit proof of their travel plans, which will determine which vaccine they receive.

He stated that the Health Ministry is working to provide all services to the public, including home vaccination service for those with mobility issues.

According to Salah, the ministry is working to expand their vaccine centers and modernize their online system to reduce wait times. It has also hired a number of new employees to run the ministry hotline.

Furthermore, the WhatsApp number 01555005500 has been allocated to receive messages and complaints from citizens regarding the vaccine.
