Egypt’s Olympic football team is set to face Paraguay in the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics, scheduled for Friday, August 2, at 8 pm Cairo time.
It aims to achieve a new milestone for Egyptian football and the Egyptian Olympic delegation in Paris by advancing to the semi-finals at the expense of the tough Paraguayan team.
The team topped their group after drawing their first match in the Paris Olympics against the Dominican Republic, before regaining their balance and winning their matches against Uzbekistan and Spain.
Micaly, the coach of the Egyptian Olympic team, is expected to field an attacking lineup against Paraguay and will not make many changes to Egypt’s usual Olympic formation.
The expected starting lineup for Egypt against Paraguay is as follows:
Defense: Ahmed Eid, Hossam Abdel-Majid, Omar Fayed, Karim El-Dibs.
Midfield: Mohamed El-Neny, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, Mohamed Shahata.
Attack: Ibrahim Adel, Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, Osama Faisa.
The match will be broadcast on four open channels, including three channels from the beIN SPORTS XTRA network, which previously announced the free broadcast of the 2024 Paris Olympics on the Nilesat satellite.
The Moroccan Al Riyadiyah channel also announced the free broadcast of the 2024 Paris Olympics on the Nilesat satellite.
