Refai stated that the army had received a notification from the interior ministry about a suspicious fish boat sailing from Baltim in Kafr al-Sheikh to the country’s western coasts.

Naval forces found a drug shipment on the boat after pursuing it across the Mediterranean sea and forcing the crew to stop.

The forces also seized another fishing boat and its six crew in Ras al-Hekma, Marsa Matrouh after finding 55,000 unidentified packets of cigarettes.
