Egypt’s national U-23 football team will meet Morocco in the continental final of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday, July 8, at 11 pm Cairo time.
The team, under the leadership of Brazilian coach Rogerio Micale, managed to qualify for the final of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, after winning against Guinea on Tuesday evening.
The African Cup of Nations Championship is being held in Morocco during the current period, which also qualifies teams for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
The Egyptian national team qualified for the African Nations Under-23 final after defeating Guinea in the semi-final match, 1-0.
The team also officially qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Egyptian team topped the ranking of the second group, which included Niger, Mali and Gabon, with seven points, and the Mali team came runner-up with six points.
