Egypt’s Mohamed al-Sayed wins fencing bronze in Paris 2024 Olympics

Egyptian player Mohamed al-Sayed, ranked tenth in the world, won the bronze medal in the fencing Épée competitions at the Paris Olympic Games on Sunday evening.

The 33rd edition of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 kicked off on Friday, July 26, and will end on August 11.

The Egyptian champion defeated his Hungarian counterpart Tibor Andrasfi with a decisive touch after a draw.

al-Sayed had previously defeated his Italian counterpart Andrea Santarelli in the quarter-finals with a score of 15-10.
