Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received Dr. Mohamed Weld Omar, Director General of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), in the presence of Dr. Sherif Saleh, Acting Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, Secretary-General of the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO, and Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Director of the Institute for Arab Research and Studies, Dr. Rami Zaki, Director of the Organization’s Education Department, and Ms. Nisreen Ghoneim, the Organization’s External Relations Officer, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the Director of ALECSO, praising the role that the organization plays in preserving culture and developing educational mechanisms in the Arab world, stressing the importance of cooperation with ALECSO in achieving sustainable development goals, especially in the field of education and scientific research, noting that the Ministry seeks to strengthen partnerships with various Arab and international institutions in this field in accordance with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030.
The Minister pointed out the presence of a number of branches of prestigious foreign universities in the New Administrative Capital, which it offers modern study programs in various specializations, which qualify students for the local, regional and international labor market.
