The Egyptian Meteorological Authority warned on Tuesday that temperatures will continue over at least the next two days. The heat wave comes as a result of a very hot air mass blowing from the eastern direction.
The authority noted that while temperatures are high, overall humidity is expected to stay low.
Very hot weather is expected for Greater Cairo and Delta governorates, with slightly cooler temperatures predicted along the north coast and warmer weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Temperatures will grow moderate across the country at night.
High temperatures predicted for the following cities on Tuesday are:
– Cairo: 40C
– Alexandria: 34C
– Qena: 32C
– Sohag: 32C
– Aswan 42C
